Starting a themed Instagram ♡

So as you all probably know I am a huge lover of instagram, my user is @floralcaitlyn and I have a themed account. But since many people have been asking me for sfs and stuff because they've only just started I figured I'd give you some advice for starting off because you don't want to begin on the wrong foot.

So first of all, I recommend getting inspiration from other themed accounts, try searching for accounts like @vintage_escape @pollyylollyy @simplysophhh @alohaitsizzy and then check out their feeds.

Secondly, try out different ways of editing your pictures, I personally use vsco cam which is a free editing app available on Apple, here's a few ways you can edit on there;

For this ^ I used the filter 'F2'

For this ^ I used the filter 't1' this is personally my favourite filter although you have to make sure your photos are all ready bright before you use this one.

So for taking photos, I recommend taking them in natural lighting, this ensures your photos won't become blurry when you edit them as that will not attract new followers as many like bright and vibrant photos not darky and dingy. Try to avoid taking them in un-natural lighting, so when you have good natural lighting, take a bunch of photos so they last you until your next chance.

Try not to use instagrams own filters, these make your photos extremely blurry (although instagram automatically lowers the quality anyway) you need to avoid those, they also make your photos look in professional so I have no idea what instagram are doing with those.

Get yourself out there, make new friends. One of the best ways to build your instagram is to appeal to people, I personally use kik, I just ask ig users for their kik username and then become great friends with them, some of my closest friends on instagram are @beccassx @eleanorrxx @mildredsinstagram @alohaitsizzy @simplysophhh. By making new friends people will know your personality and will want to see more of it.

Finally enjoy yourself, don't force your followers into doing stuff, don't use hashtags, if you only get 11 likes at least you're not cheating and people genuinely like your photos! If you show that you enjoy instagram maybe by writing long captions people will realise how lovely you are. And also help lots of people and interact with your followers, if they comment on your picture, reply, this shows your active and more and more people will find your account!

Baby Lips Review! Worth the hype?!

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today I will be reviewing Maybellines 'Baby Lips' and discussing wethert hey we're worth the hype or not! I hope you enjoy!

So to begin with I just got this photo off google (as I've lost the purple one). From left to right, they are;

Intense Care, Peach Kiss , Hydrate, Cherry Me, Mint Fresh and Pink Punch. My favourite has to be 'Cherry Me'.

Intense Care;

This lip balm is a clear, moisturising one, I use this one mainly at night so my lips don't go dry.

Peach Kiss; This one is one of the three pigmented ones, I wouldn't say it is extremely pigmented but it does give you a bit of colour. This one smells so good!!

Hydrate; Hydrate is one of my favourites, it smells so fresh and like sherbet (idek) it is as lead one but definately one of the best and does what it says, HYDRATES! (Idk why that is in capitals, I think I got excited)

Cherry Me; This is my all time favourite, it glides on leaving a shear red colour of your lips, the colour is build able yet not dry like many other lipsticks! 

Mint Fresh; Tbf I hate the smell of this one, but it is super moisturising and it's not like I'm going to smell my lip right? ;) I use this one underneath mainly Kate Moss lipsticks so they look really glossy and not dry.

Pink punch; I absolutely LOVE the smell of this one but I don't like it when you apply it! Because you have the moist part of your lip, it leaves a very distinct line around that and makes you look like you have 3 lips! But again it is moisturising and gives a light pink colour.

Overall I love the baby lips collection and I'm so glad I got to try them all out! I'd say they were worth the hype, but not all of them and many people should read reviews before buying them! But right now I'm going to be different and say, if you don't have them all, go and buy them! Because as I discovered they suit different people, so you've just got to find the one which suits you! Everyday Makeup Routine

 When I asked on instagram this morning what my next blog post should be, the most requested was 'Everyday Makeup Routine' so here it is! I don't wear much makeup but I love reading/watching posts about everyday makeups haha! I hope you enjoy!

This is what I wear each day, you may recognise this picture from my instagram!

To begin with I apply this moisturising cream by 'Nivea' all over my face in an equal layer.

Next using my real techniques 'Expert Face brush' I apply a medium layer (not too much, just right ;) ) amount onto my face being sure to blend it down my necks aswell.

 

After that I apply a fair layer of my Maybelline fit me powder with my Eco Tools powder brush to set and hold my bb cream on all day, this creates a medium but also very natural coverage which I love!

Next I apply this Maybelline colour tattoo to my lid. I would recommend this out of everything because it stays on no matter what!

For mascara I use my iccle baby (Mini They're Real) this is the best thing in the world! I apply around 2-3 layers on my top lashes and 1/2 layers to my lower lashes.

Finally to complete my look is apply this Benefit Hoola Lip Gloss which I actually got out of an Elle magazine but when this runs out I will definately be purchasing a larger bottle!

20 Facts About Me

So welcome to my blog! I've been requested alot to make one so I finally decided to. 

Since you probably don't know anything much about me I considered doing two posted but resulted in the '20 Facts About Me' 

Fact 1- My name is Caitlyn Lily and I don't really like it.

Fact 2- I've lived in just two houses my whole life but I'm moving soon!

Fact 3- I live with my mum, dad and little brother Kyle.

Fact 4- I am only in year 8, but since most people on instagram are older than me I've only shared that like once.

Fact 5- I literally watch 'The Parent Trap' every night not even going to lie.

Fact 6- I own about 15 mascaras and I use all of them :/

Fact 7- My favourite book of all time is a custom one my mum had made about her and smarties!!

Fact 8- My favourite film of all time is 'Mary Poppins' 

Fact 9- I have had one personal pet in my life which was my beautiful guinea pig Herbie who died in 2013 :(

Fact 10- I got Herbie because I went on holiday to Cyprus and was put on a drip for a week.

Fact 11- On my 11th Birthday I was in Florida and I swam with dolphins.

Fact 12- I never let go of things I had in the past because I love them.

Fact 13- I've had about 20 instagrams and that's not a lie.

Fact 14- I've had instagram since 2010 (I think) and had no idea what it was.

Fact 15- I am such a shopaholic.

Fact 16- I am a dancer and have an exam on March 27th

Fact 17- I am running out of facts 

Fact 18- I love horror films although they scare me from going upstairs!

Fact 19- This is my 19th fact ;)

Fact 20- I can't even cook toast without burning it 😂
